Lasso
Where would you go
Not long ago
I’ve been thinking out loud
Was it suddenly
Do-do-don’t you know
Don’t do it but you do it
What you do to me
Forever is a long long time
When you lost your way
Trying to follow your ideals (are sorry)
But your so-called life
It is such a waste
When you realize
No you don’t realize
What you say yes to
What you say yes to
Where would you go (x2)
With a lasso
Could you run into (x2)
Could you go and run into me
Where would you go (x2)
Tied up to a lasso
Could you run into (x2)
Could you go and run into me
So lonely so pretty
Such a lack of diplomacy you can’t get out
Do-don’t you know
Don’t do it what you do it
You should do to me
Far our so far out
Such a fall out of lonely
That you’re lonely
(??????)
Where would you go (x2)
With a lasso
Could you run into (x2)
Could you go and run into me
Where would you go (x2)
Tied up to a lasso
Could you run into (x2)
Could you go and run into me
When you realize
No you don’t realize
What you say yes to
What you say yes to
Forever is a long long time
When you lost your way
Forever is a long long time
When you lost your way

April
April has been a very intense month and for this reason, i haven't had time to write much.
The semester being shortened, has required extra effort on my part to keep up. I ended up loving three of my classes and having a hard time with the other one, but i'm still getting through. I also have been able to put my health plan into action and have lost over 23 pounds in the past six weeks, resulting in increased energy and peace of mind. I was diagnosed as Hypoglycemic in March and this seems appropriate given my history of bad reactions to sugar and carbohydrates in general. Hypoglycemia is defined as a misuse of insulin, where the cells don't respond adequately and so extra insulin is produced to convert food to energy, lowering blood sugar significantly and creating feelings of sugar cravings, headache, lack of energy and dizzyness. If this sounds more like type 2 diabetes, it's because Hypoglycemia is a pre-diabetic state. I was told that my blood sugar readings are normal at fasting, so I am pretty far away from developing Diabeties at this point. Nonetheless, I definitely sprung into action after hearing that. I have had for a year, a strong intuition that I have always had a problem with insulin resistance as it's known to be hereditary. No sense on dwelling on where it came from though, just on how to correct it or manage it in the future. So, I put in place a lifestyle of low carbohydrates (not obvious as i'm a vegetarian, almost vegan) and increased protein/fruits and veggies, and the weight started flying off. Lentil soup has been my saviour. It's a cheap alternative to meat and really keeps you full for a long time.
If you have hypoglycemia, simple sugars and carbohydrates make it worse, because they require the most amount of insulin to be converted into energy. Protein requires significantly less insulin to be converted to energy by the cells, so a high protein diet is very helpful. (not red meat or even chicken, there are other ways to do it).
Other than that, this month, i managed to fall off a weight machine (you can laugh, i did) at the gym and bruised myself badly on both legs, slowing down my exercise routine. I seem to be recovering pretty well though.
I have made a few friends here in Toronto finally and reallly am feeling better than i have in a long time.
